# Risks and Disclosures

Astro is an experimental onchain launch and liquidity protocol. Minting or trading tokens can result in partial or total loss.

## Smart-contract risk

Contracts can contain vulnerabilities, integrations can fail, and network conditions can delay or prevent transactions. Audits, if available, reduce but do not eliminate risk.

## Market and liquidity risk

Locked liquidity does not guarantee a token's price or a loss-free exit. Price can move rapidly, and large trades can experience substantial slippage.

## Mint and refund risk

Refunds are available only before finalization and only when the required token balance can be burned. After finalization, users must exit through market liquidity.

## RWA risk

RWA tokens introduce third-party issuer, custodian, bridge, oracle, liquidity and regulatory risks. They may trade away from the value of the referenced asset.

Tokenized exposure may not provide shareholder voting, dividends, redemption or direct ownership rights. Eligibility and geographic restrictions can apply. Review the issuer's current legal documentation before participating.

## Swap-execution risk

In an RWA launch, OKB is converted into the selected asset during finalization. The execution price and amount received depend on available liquidity, slippage, fees and market movement. Final liquidity composition can therefore differ from estimates.

## Token tax risk

Optional buy and sell taxes increase transaction costs. Contract restrictions, holder eligibility rules and anti-farmer settings can affect transfers and integrations.

## Third-party risk

Astro relies on external systems such as wallets, X Layer, Uniswap and supported token contracts. Their availability, security and rules are outside Astro's complete control.

## Documentation and interface risk

Interfaces and documentation can become outdated. Verified contracts and onchain state are the final source of truth.

## No financial, legal or tax advice

Nothing in this documentation is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Users are responsible for determining whether they are allowed to access and use Astro and any supported RWA token in their jurisdiction.

Always verify contract addresses, transaction details and token settings before signing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.astro.meme/reference/risks-and-disclosures.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
