# Holder Rewards and Anti-Farmer Protection

Astro's Create page can include optional token-level settings in addition to the fixed Fair Mint rules.

## Holder reward tax

Where enabled, a creator can set buy and sell tax rates within the ranges offered by the interface. The interface exposes rates from **1% to 10%** and states that the collected amount is distributed to eligible holders.

This token tax is separate from Astro's 1% Uniswap liquidity fee:

| Charge                      | Purpose                                                                                                  |
| --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1% Uniswap swap fee | Charged on every pool swap and accrues to the liquidity position. It is Astro's protocol-revenue source. |
| Optional token buy/sell tax | Distributed according to the token's holder-reward rules.                                                |
| X Layer gas | Pays for transaction execution on the network. |

Always review the displayed buy tax, sell tax and distribution rules before minting or trading. A higher tax increases the cost of entering or exiting a position.

## Anti-farmer protection

Creators can select a limited protection period. During this period, the token contract can restrict transfers into third-party contracts to reduce attempts to create tax-free or unauthorized liquidity routes.

The protection period does not prevent all bots, market manipulation or external trading risks. It should be treated as a launch-control mechanism, not a guarantee of fair execution.

## Parameters must be visible

Before signing a transaction, users should be able to verify:

* The selected liquidity asset.
* Buy and sell tax rates.
* The anti-farmer duration.
* The remaining mint time.
* Mint progress and remaining shares.

Contract parameters and the live transaction preview are the final source of truth.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.astro.meme/protocol/holder-rewards.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
