# Quick Start

Astro launches run on **X Layer** and use **OKB** for mint payments and network gas.

## Before you begin

You need:

* An EVM-compatible wallet connected to X Layer.
* Enough OKB for the mint amount and gas.
* The official Astro website: <https://astro.meme/>.

Never share your seed phrase or private key. Astro will not ask for either.

## Mint a token

1. Open [ASTRO.MEME](https://astro.meme/).
2. Select a live launch.
3. Review the token details, progress, remaining time and liquidity asset.
4. Connect your wallet.
5. Choose the number of shares to mint.
6. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Each share costs **0.1 OKB**. The 80 OKB Mode distributes 1,000,000 tokens per share, while the 800 OKB Mode distributes 100,000 tokens per share. Network gas is paid separately.

## Create a token

1. Open [Create](https://astro.meme/create).
2. Upload a logo and enter the token name, symbol and description.
3. Select the **80 OKB Mode** or **800 OKB Mode**.
4. Select **OKB** or a supported RWA token as the liquidity asset.
5. Configure optional holder rewards and the anti-farmer period.
6. Add project links.
7. Review the fixed launch rules and deploy.

Creating a launch requires gas. The Fair Mint price and supply split are fixed, while the creator chooses between the two protocol-defined share-count and fundraising configurations.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.astro.meme/getting-started/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
